Meditation.

The fact of being is our most natural experience, there is nothing mystical about it. But we spend so much of our time lost in thought, anxiously projecting the future or ruminating about the past.

Where to begin?

Now, exactly where and as you are.

The foundation of our practice is mindfulness, our capacity for presence. We learn to relate to our experience inward and outward, with kindness and acceptance.

Peace, quiet, joy and love are the ultimate nature of our being, and meditation is the doorway through which we can remember and connect with who we truly are. The process of meditation is a full recognition and connection with life as it already is, however it is arising.

Meditation is a continual process of noticing what is already here, and aligning ourselves with what is. As the body and mind becomes infused with this knowledge, our life is transformed.

How might a consistent practice benefit you?

The benefits of a consistent mindfulness practice are well documented, and include

  • Pain perception and tolerance

  • Alleviate stress

  • Improve sleep

  • Reduce anxiety

  • Improved mood

  • Sharpen focus and concentration capacity

An integrated meditation practice might also explore self-enquiry, metta (loving kindness) or mantra, afirmation or open awareness. Meditation can open up understanding of our very existence, helping us with the bigger questions, who am I, why am I here?

Ultimately, meditation can offer us a sense of calm and peace, just in existing. The possibilities are broad and there is a meditation practice for you.
