This form of counselling is rooted in the belief that everyone has the potential for personal growth and self-awareness and that they can reach their full potential given the right environment and support.

What is counselling?

This is a process of self-discovery in which we explore your personal experience in a mindful and compassionate way, finding awareness and acceptance of all aspects of your being. Working together to ameliorate and resolve difficulties, alleviate distress, find meaning and the freedom to become who you most want to be.

Who can benefit from counselling?

Counselling at OurBeing emphasizes holistic wellbeing, and whilst it doesn’t treat specific mental health diagnoses, it can benefit a wide range of individuals and help people overcome challenges such as depression, anxiety and stress, panic disorders, and relationship problems.

By exploring inner experiences and working through challenges, individuals can gain a greater sense of control over their lives and a deeper understanding of what they need to do to live with greater ease, awareness, acceptance and autonomy.

What can you expect from the process?

You can expect a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of being judged or criticised.

You can expect genuine empathy, warmth and true presence in every single session.

The duration of counselling varies depending on the individual. The emphasis is always on the unique journey of the individual rather than quick solutions, so it is important to find the right therapist for you.

Where to begin?

Counselling usually starts with a consultation session, an opportunity to discover if we will be a good match. From there we shape a working alliance that guarantees full transparency and accountability for this process of healing, growth and wholeness.
